Executive Summary
This project aims to study and reveal the true meanings of the first toponymic manifestations (names of places) that appear in the region of the current city of Cuenca (the ancient Tomebamba of the Incas), and, in addition, to reconstruct everything that happened in this area before the founding of the city of Cuenca. It has usually been that the toponymic names have been analyzed in an erroneous manner, which has led to conclusions that falsify the regional history. We want to clarify the meaning, the system of designation of the names, their motivation and their scope.
